Mark Evan Peters October 10, 2025

Date of Funeral

October 16, 2025

Mark Evan Peters, 49 of Taunton, MA died tragically in a work accident on Friday, October 10, 2025. Mark was the son of Marlene (Konigsberg) and the late Richard Peters of Raynham. He leaves behind his loving wife Grace (Lopes) and their amazing son Gabriel. He was a very supportive brother to Brenda (Peters) and Eric Easter of Raynham, Dee (Peters) and Paulo Augusto of Raynham, Beth (Peters) McDonald and Partner Will Hogan of Taunton, and Scott and Angelina (Lazuk) Peters of Bloomfield, NJ. and a brother by marriage to Sandra (Lopes) and Shawn Amaral of Taunton, Robert Lopes of Taunton, and David and Melissa Lopes of Taunton. He was a friend and mentor to his nieces and nephews, Ian and Reece Easter of Raynham, Nichole and Sophia Augusto of Raynham, Archer and Elliott Peters of Bloomfield, NJ, Shawnee Amaral and his partner, Stephanie McColgan of Warwick, RI, Adrianna Amaral of Taunton, Natalie, Corraliss and Christian Lopes of Taunton, Juliana and Selena Lopes of Taunton, and, his great niece Sophia Amaral of Warwick, RI. Also fondly remembered by his family by choice the Franco’s of Berkley and his in-laws Jose and Ana Lopes of San Miguel, Azores. In addition to his father Mark will be met in heaven by his niece Gwen Easter who passed three years ago.

Mark was a tremendous husband and father. Grace and Mark have been together for 22 years, married for 17. Then 13 years ago Mark’s best bud was born, Gabe. Mark was the kind of guy that wore the PJs for the holiday photo shoot and was always up for the family Halloween costume. Grace, Gabe and Mark all had their regular routines. Grocery shopping together, dinner, and some great vacations. Mark worked hard for the family because they were his world. Mark was supportive of his entire family and as you can see above that is no small feat. If a sibling (by blood or by marriage) needed something Mark was there with a solution. He took on the role of the big brother even though he was number four of five. Always there for his parents, he stepped up even more after his Dad passed. He and Gabe would check on his mother Marlene and have a nice visit with her every Saturday. Mark also found a way to be there for all of his friends and really anyone he met. Saturday nights hanging in the man cave with Tony Paiva, Rich Leavitt and Jon Catley. Or a quiet chat with Mike Walsh. Helping a friend in need was Mark’s super power. He would see someone and even if they didn’t know they needed something he would find a way to make their life better.

Mark’s life was about caring as much as he could, loving as much as he could and taking very little. He has been taken far too soon and has left a giant hole in the hearts of so many.

Mark’s graveside funeral service will be held at Temple Israel of Brockton Cemetery, 1000 Pearl Street, Brockton, MA on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11AM. Shiva will be observed at the home of Marlene Peters, on Thursday from 4 PM – 8 PM, Friday 10 AM – 6 PM, Saturday 5:30 PM – 8 PM, and Sunday 10 AM – 7 PM.

I can’t imagine what you must be going through. I will miss Marky smile and the way he used to always love to watch everyone when we would get together at the Franco’s. He was a great husband, father and a friend to all. He will always be in our prayers.
