Gilbert “Gil” Rabinovitz of Stoughton, passed away on December 15, 2023, at 88 years of age. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Harry and Minnie (Miller) Rabinovitz. Beloved husband of Marsha (Kasper) Rabinovitz. Loving father of Brian Rabinovitz & his fiancé ’Diana, Marc Rabinovitz & his wife Donna, Jodi Armfield & her husband Don, Eric Rabinovitz & his partner, Jessica. Cherished grandfather of Mathew, Joshua, Jennifer, Alexis, Kayla, and great-grandfather of Shelby. Dear brother of Carl Rabinovitz & his wife Sharon, and the late Norma Daitch. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gil spent over 40 years of his professional career as an electrical technician with the Raytheon Corporation specializing in their complex radar systems. Gil was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served our nation honorably during the Korean Conflict.
His funeral will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Wednesday, December 20th at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Lord Rothchild Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury. Following the burial, Shiva will be observed at his late residence and continuing Thursday from 1-5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gil’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
