Carol Paula Feldman of Brookline and Centerville, passed away on Friday December 15, 2023 following a long and fulfilling life with a fierce desire to live. Carol was the loving Daughter of Etta Rose (Silverman) Feldman and Irving J. Feldman and devoted sister of Joyce Winer of Holliston and Centerville, and her brother-in-law Harry.  She is survived by her cherished nephew Robert Winer of Plantation, Florida and his sons Beckett and Boden; her beloved nephew and niece Jeffrey and Michelle Winer of Wellesley and their dogs, Eva and Stella; many caring cousins; numerous dear friends, near and far; and countless co-workers.

Born and bred in Brookline, Carol graduated from Boston University and received masters degrees from Framingham State University and Eastern Nazarene College.  She was a dedicated teacher in Quincy for 38 years.  Carol took great pride in her teaching career.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spending time on Cape Cod, traveling when she could and loved indulging in a good book.

Carol maintained a love of life and a positive outlook through her two heroic battles with cancer and incomprehensible health issues. Carol was truly inspiring to all who met her. She will be remembered for her tenacity, independence, enthusiasm, and her generous heart.

The family wishes to thank the hundreds of committed and brilliant doctors and nurses who helped her.

Carol was a good person who loved the people she knew. She was thoughtful and determined and did so with a special grace. She suffered for a very long time and we hope that she now has the peace that she worked so hard for. She will be missed and remembered by her friends and family.

Carol will remain in our hearts and never be forgotten. Even when she was not feeling well she was concerned about her friends’ health. She gave good advice and recommended great books for her friends to read. There was no question she was a terrific Mah Jong player.Carol you are out of pain and
    may you rest in peace.
