Sylvia Weinstein September 11, 2020

WEINSTEIN, Sylvia (Druck) of Sharon, Massachusetts, entered into rest peacefully with her two daughters by her side on September 8, 2020 in Canton, Massachusetts, at the age of 78.

Sylvia was born in Malden, MA, to Samuel and Fanny (Miller) Druck on March 19, 1942.  She went to Malden High School and graduated in 1960.  Sylvia then married the love of her life Elliot Weinstein; they shared 36 years of marriage until his passing in 2000.

Sylvia is survived by her wonderful sister, Selma Linsky.  Adored and devoted mother of Deborah E. Piazza and her husband Christopher of Sharon, Lisa B. Ballarino and her husband Christopher of Bellingham.  Treasured grandmother of Matthew and Alyssa Piazza. Loving aunt to Sharon Linsky, Susan and Fred Klein, and Bob and Jody Linsky, and great aunt to Jason and Sarah Klein, Ilana and Scott Prenovitz, Matthew and Courtney Linsky, Amy and Evan Zemsky & Katy and Zachary Morris.

There was nothing Sylvia would not do for her family.  Sylvia’s greatest joy was spending time with her daughters and grandchildren lunching and shopping. They filled her days with pride, love and joy.  Sylvia was a woman of high character, full of life and will live on in her family’s hearts eternally.

Due to Covid-19 a private graveside funeral service for the immediate family will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on September 11 with Rabbi Mendy Horowitz of Chai Jewish Center officiating. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Chai Jewish Center, 576 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021 or the charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
