Stephen K. Parker, 61, of Norton, beloved husband of Jodie (Przygoda) Parker unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He had been a resident of Norton, Massachusetts for 32 years.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 14, 1964, to the late Morris and Eileen (Keller) Parker. He grew up in Milton, MA with his parents and sisters, Sharon (Parker) Altman and Iris (Parker) van der Walde. He attended elementary school in Milton, MA and then moved to Sharon, MA where he attended Sharon Middle School and Sharon High School from where he graduated with the Class of 1982. Stephen then went on to graduate from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Technology and Wentworth Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. He earned his Engineering in Training certificate while working at Fay, Spoffard and Thorndike, a civil engineering company.
Stephen had an opportunity to work alongside his father-in-law John J. Przygoda and learned the ins and outs of the electrical supply business. Ultimately Steve established East Coast Breakers and Controls in Providence, RI. Stephen dedicated much of his time to his work, ensuring that his customers receive superb service and developing ECBC into the reliable business we know as today. Outside of owning and operating ECBC, Stephen led a busy personal life. He cheered his children on at their sports games, made household repairs as the handyman he was, and could always be found planting and gardening in the yard. Stephen spent his summers as a child on Nantasket Beach and then with his family on the beaches of Rhode Island. The summers would
always include indulging in lobster rolls, lounging by the pool with his kids, and barbecuing. He finished each day with a new movie, accompanied by his dogs, and eagerly shared his film review with his family. Stephen loved his family and friends, adored his dogs Lola and Ruby, had an excellent sense of humor, and was particularly proud of his 3 children.
He is survived by his wife, Jodie; their three children, Marissa, Laurel, and Andrew; his sisters, Sharon (and her husband Scott Altman) and Iris van der Walde (and her husband Ted Orson); as well as many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Expressions of sympathy in Stephen’s memory may be donated to the MSPCA-Angell Animal Medical Center https://www.mspca.org/ (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
