It is with great sadness that we lost our beloved father Herbert Oppenheim Tuesday evening
February 16th. Our father lived a complete and productive life. He was born in Boston the only child of the late Marion and Louis Oppenheim.
Herbert graduated from Boston English High School with Honors. Then attended Boston University as an undergraduate before receiving his MBA from Indiana University. Then his life adventure became more interesting after enlisting in the army and traveled to Korea to be an administrative assistant. After completing his service for his country he worked in Central America for a fruit import company from there he met our mother Diane Harris who became his beautiful wife and blessed him with 2 sons Alan and Ray. From there he went on work as an investment counselor and eventually he returned to service as an auditor trainer for the IRS.
Herbert is survived by his two sons Alan and his wife Michelle and Ray and his wife Cheryl. He was the cherished grandfather of Janelle, Gabrielle, Isabelle and Tabytha.
His funeral service will be held at 1:45PM, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon.
Memorial Observance will be held at the home of Alan and Micelle Oppenheim on Thursday afternoon beginning at 4:15PM.
