ATLAS, Stanley Joseph of Walpole, MA formerly of Stoughton, and Brighton, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27th.
Stanley was the devoted son of the late Harold and Etta (Weinberg) Atlas. Beloved husband of the late Clara (Mandell) Atlas for over 60 years before her passing in 2019. Caring father of Robert Atlas and his wife Leslie Rappaport-Atlas of Franklin, and Sandi Atlas-Gordon and her husband David Gordon of Sharon.
Stanley worked at the Ace Venetian Blind Company in Cambridge for 28 years until its closure. A well-regarded and sought-after expert, he continued to work in the local industry until age 83 when he retired. He also was an avid runner and sailor.
Services at the Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton, MA on Thursday, May 30th at 10:00 AM. Interment after the services at the nearby Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, MA., followed by a bereavement meal at The Chateau Restaurant.
Stanley was a very proud veteran of World War II. Donations in his memory can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, which assists disabled veterans in a variety of ways.
