SELMA ROSENBERG, 98, of Clermont, Florida, died on August 26, 2026.
She was a native of New York City. After high school, she was a chorus line dancer in NYC and Philadelphia. She married Jerry Rosenberg and moved to Sharon, Massachusetts, where she spent the next three decades as a consummate homemaker, part-time bookkeeper, and mother of three children.
At age 47, Selma began attending college and graduated from Simmons College. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies, reading, golf, dancing, dining out, attending the symphony, and traveling the world.
Selma and Jerry eventually moved to Florida, where they enjoyed golf, a busy social life, and spending time with their family.
She is beloved and will be remembered by her surviving family, including her husband of 79 years, Jerry; three children, Fran (David) Rissmiller, Lois Laing, and Joe (Amelia) Rosenberg; six grandchildren, Josh (Katie), John (Ari), Leeann, Mariel (Jamie), Meredith (Zak), and Alex (Lauren); and thirteen great-grandchildren, Ethan, Nora, Colin, Aiden, Ben, Zoë, Madeleine, Miles, Jacob, Samuel, Blake, Lainey, and Sloane.
There will be a graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA on Monday, August 31 at 11;45AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey.
