We are heartbroken to share that we lost our beloved Elaine (Young) Musmon on Friday, August 28, 2026. Elaine was an inspiration to her entire family, and loved not only by them, but all those who knew her.
Elaine was a loving wife to her late husband Herb Musmon for more than 57 years. Together they were devoted to their synagogue, Ahavath Torah Congregation, and to the youth of New England Region United Synagogue Youth (NERUSY).
Elaine is survived by her beloved children: Phyllis and Michael Kramer and Joanne and Arnie Minsky, all of Maryland, as well as Linda and the late Edward Musmon of Brookline, to all of whom she was a nurturing mother and role model. Elaine is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Elaine/Nana adored her five granddaughters and loved each one of them “Big as the Sky”. She was thrilled when she added three grandsons-in-law; to her family. Cara (Andrew) Gliddon, Elisa (David) Rancourt, Marni Musmon, Zoe (Brandon) Catuna and Carly Minsky all shared an unbreakable bond with Elaine and will forever hold her in their hearts. They learned so much about love and kindness from her.
In recent years, her three great-grandchildren brought her immense pride and joy. She was GiGi to them and glowingly bragged about Henry and Sarah Rancourt as well as the newest addition, Daphne Gliddon.
Elaine’s love for family extended beyond the United States to Mexico to her unofficial third daughter Julia, who lived with Elaine’s family as an exchange student for two years. She graduated from Stoughton High School with Joanne in 1979 and has remained part of the family for forty-nine years. She gave Elaine the joy of three additional grandchildren. Elaine considered herself lucky to be Nana to Julia’s children, Jose David, Andres and Julita Navarette.
Elaine worked for 25 years with Estee Lauder at Filene’s at South Shore Plaza. As was her nature, she befriended many customers and associates.
Funeral services will be held at Shlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton, MA on Tuesday, September 1, at 11AM with interment following at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, MA.
Shiva will be held Tuesday afternoon immediately following the burial through 5PM in Sharon and continuing on Thursday evening at the home of Phyllis & Michael Kramer, King Farm Blvd., Rockville, MD from 7-9PM.
