Phyllis Evelyn Rose February 23, 2026

Date of Funeral

March 5, 2026

Phyllis Evelyn Ginsberg Rose passed away peacefully in her sleep shortly after celebrating her 103rd birthday. She was born February 17, 1923 to Anna and Hyman Ginsberg. She was one of three siblings, a brother Carl and a sister, Bernice, both of whom predeceased their sister Phyllis.

Phyllis is survived by her children Judith Cohen (Edward) and Susan London (Michael), five grandchildren, Jasson, Koren, Aaron, Todd, and Melissa, and eight great-grandchildren, Jonah, Vivian, Leora, Olivia, Hunter, Eva, Noah, and Isaac.

Phyllis was a war bride and married Milton Rose on November 25, 1942 when she was 19 years old.  Milton was stationed and fighting in the South Pacific at the time.

She worked for many years at McCormick & Company.  She had a wonderful voice and sang in the choir.

Milton and Phyllis would often offer to watch and take their grandchildren at every opportunity so their children could enjoy some free time. The holidays were a special time of joy when the whole family would come together and gather around to tell stories.

The things Phyllis enjoyed doing most were: playing Mahjong, doing crossword puzzles, knitting and doing needlepoint, reading, and going to the casino.

She was a dedicated and loving mother who will be missed by all.

There will be a funeral service on Thursday, March 5th at noon at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will be held at the home of Judith and Edward Cohen immediately following the burial.

Donations, in Phyllis’ name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 or online at  www.cancer.org .
