Julie McLaughlin, 54, of Brockton and formerly of Brookline, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends. Julie lived her life with warmth, humor, and a deep devotion to the people she cared about most, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Julie was a devoted partner and soulmate to William Pedro, with whom she shared a loving and meaningful life. She was the cherished daughter of Susan Cohen, and a beloved sister to Holly (Bill), Amanda (Kat), and Adam (David).

Julie took great pride in her role as an aunt to Kenneth (Harley), Matthew (Mary), and Eric, forging close and joyous bonds with them. Her many great nieces and nephews brought her endless happiness, further enriching her life.

Professionally, Julie built a long and respected career managing optometry offices. She was known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, and genuine kindness. Whether working with colleagues or caring for clients, Julie’s friendly nature and steady presence left a lasting impression.

Above all else, Julie will be remembered for her generous spirit, quick wit, and heartfelt kindness. She loved music and found joy in attending concerts, spending time at the beach, and celebrating life’s special moments with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m. at 33 Rockford Street, Brockton. Family and friends are invited to gather in Julie’s honor to share memories and celebrate a life lived with love and intention. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or to a local animal shelter, reflecting Julie’s caring heart and generosity toward others.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 2:00 p.m. at 33 Rockford Street, Brockton.
