Barbara Bloom of Hopkinton, MA, formerly of Randolph, MA, passed away on April 5, 2026 at 94 years of age.
Barbara was the devoted daughter of Louis and Shirley (Fromer) Salowitts.
Beloved wife of Harold Douglas Bloom and loving mother of Eric Bloom and his wife Cheryl Cohen.
She was the cherished grandmother of Jonathan Bloom and his wife Jeanne, and Emily Goldberg and her husband Jesse, and four great grandchildren.
Barbara was proud of her Jewish heritage and was an active member of her synagogue. She volunteered for many years and supported numerous charitable organizations, leaving a legacy of kindness and compassion.
Barbara was a kind, strong, independent, loving, and gentle woman who will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
A funeral service will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton, MA, on Tuesday, April 7th at 1:00PM. Barbara will be interred at Sharon Memorial Park following the service honoring her memory.
Following the service, until 8:00PM, there will be visiting hours at the home of Jonathan and Jeanne Bloom in Marlborough, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Barbara’s name, to Operation Smile, 3641 Faculty Boulevard, Viginia Beach, VA 23453.
