LUSKY, John J. Sr.
John J. Lusky, Sr. of Raynham, formerly of Dorchester and Pennsylvania, passed away on April 12, 2021 at 91 years of age.
He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Jencyowski) Lusky; loving father of William Lusky and his wife Laura, John J. Lusky Jr, Katherine Strength and her husband James, Sandra Burke and her husband Alfred, the late Brenda Lusky Evans and the late Wayne Lusky; treasured grandfather of Gregory, Stefanie, Alyssa, Arielle, Jessica, Vanessa, Colleen, Cameron, Aidan, Catalina, Jamison and James Michael; cherished great-grandfather of Myles, Angelina, Marcus, Bella, Aleera, Anakin, Destiny, Athena, Kalli, Carly, Cullen, Benjamin and Madeline.
John was a veteran of World War II, working as a medic on the trains throughout Europe. He was an avid fan of dog and horse racing and liked taking trips to Foxwoods. He enjoyed fishing all his life and cooking up the catch of the day. He loved playing cribbage, pinochle, listening to country music, watching games show and old westerns, but his biggest joy was being with his family.
A small private graveside service will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St, Boston, MA 02131 Tuesday, April 20thst at 10:00am. A Celebration of Life is planned for this summer, on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers donations may be made the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
