Jamie Rubin passed away on September 17th in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by her loving family. Her life ended suddenly at age 69, leaving behind a legacy of family love, community and an unwavering zest for life. Her passion, positivity and kindness inspired multiple generations, from aunts and uncles to grandchildren.
Born in Manhasset, New York, Jamie built lifelong friendships across the country whether it was her Alma Mater at University of Vermont or her business career as a widely respected sonographer at Boston Mass General.
Her unparalleled ability to connect with people spanned two coasts, where she lived with Arthur: Fort Myers, Florida and Brewster, Massachusetts. Jamie’s communities ranged from pickleball leagues and pottery classes to book clubs and hiking. Her strongfriendship ties also extended to Framingham and other local areas, where friends became family.
Jamie is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Arthur Rubin; son, Harris Phillips; father, Paul Litner and his wife, Judy Litner; brothers Alan and Steve Litner; and cousin Karen Jacobs, who was like a sister. She is also survived by her devoted and revered Goldendoodle, Charlie. She is predeceased by her mother, Carol Good. Jamie’s greatest pride and joy were her adoring grandchildren: Cameron and Cooper Phillips (Harris and Jasmine); Jack and Luke Ringer (Beth and Abe); and Ryder and Trevor Kurtz (Deborah and Jason).
Jamie’s compassion lives on through her organ donations. She will live on in our hearts forever.
Jamie’s life will be honored on Friday, September 19th at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill at 824 Washington Street, Canton at Noon. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
