Evelyn Stone of Stoughton, formerly of Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on September 16, 2023, at 91 years of age.

Devoted daughter of the late Abraham and Rebecca (Hurwitz) Miller. Beloved wife of the late Robert Stone. Loving mother of Chuck Stone and his wife Maritza of Myrtle Beach, SC, Elise Storey and her Husband Brian of Meza, AZ, Lori Happnie and her husband Daniel of Sharon, and Allan Stone and his wife Lisa of Norton. Cherished grandmother and great grandmother. Dear sister of Bobby Miller and his wife Marcia of Easton. She leaves behind many loving family members and lifelong friends.

Evelyn was born in Lynn and moved to Dorchester at the age of 13. It was at this time she first met Bobby, who would later become the love of her life and they married in 1952. After being stationed in Texas while Bobby was in the service, they returned to Massachusetts. And settled in Sharon for over fifty years. Evelyn was a loving mother to her four children while also working as an administrative assistant at Boston Mutual. She and Bobby spent many happy years dabbling in antiques and often setting up antique shows at Brimfield. She loves playing cards, and Mah-Jongg and was often a very lucky winner. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family, and would travel to their homes throughout the country to be with them. She will be sorely missed.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 20,th  2023, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon memorial Park.

Shiva will be held at the home of Lori and Daniel Happnie in Sharon on Wednesday immediately following the burial until 7:00PM.

In lieu of flowers remembrance may be made to the charity of your choice.
