Evelyn (Oxenhorn) Gillen of Franklin, formerly of Boston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on October 26, 2023, at 98 years of age. Devoted daughter of late Nathan and Sophie (Schlinsky) Oxenhorn. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Gillen. Loving mother of Marc Gillen and his wife Kristen and Neil Gillen and his wife Cheryl. Dear sister of Michael Oxenhorn and his wife Marion and her sister-in-law Ellen, wife of the late Stanley Oxenhorn. Cherished grandmother of Nathan, Brian, Marc Jr., Steven, Andrew, Deven, Colin, Madison, and Marissa. Her many loving great grandchildren and her blessed late grandson Justin.
Evelyn’s funeral service will be held at 10AM, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at King Solomon Memorial Park, 2690 Centre Street, West Roxbury MA.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held later for family & friends to gather and share memories of a life well lived.
