Elaine Phyllis (Simon) Aarons, of Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Milton, Randolph, and West Yarmouth, passed away on January 1, 2022. She was 82.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Alan Aarons, her son Gary Aarons (Kathy), her daughter Wendy Aarons-Corman (Donna Naparstek), grandchildren Amanda Giunta (Lee), Jonathan Aarons, Emily Aarons, Lillian Corman and Samuel Corman, and a great-grandchild Isabelle Giunta. She was the daughter of Adele and Joseph Simon of Milton, and the granddaughter of Sarah and Barney Nerman of Milton. She was the sister to Rosalyn Sirote (Barry). Elaine also leaves behind numerous family members from the entire Aarons-Simon family. She was incredibly supportive to family and was committed to providing support to help everyone achieve their highest potential.
Elaine’s joy also came from her numerous friends. She was always connected via phone, text and Facebook. She was woven into the fabric of so many people, always aware of their life events and encouraging them along the way. She remained in contact with families of those friends she lost, providing ongoing support and love. Losing Elaine is a jolt to many.
Elaine attended Boston University and achieved a degree as a medical secretary. Later in life, she changed her career path and started her own business as a bookkeeper. Later, she was a talented tax preparer who was recognized by the IRS for her impeccable tax returns.
Elaine was an active member of ORT America for over 60 years, serving in roles of treasurer, vice president and president (locally and regionally) in both Massachusetts and Florida. Her favorite role was fundraising, and she realized the impact when she visited the schools in Israel being sponsored. It was her honor to be able to be a part of an organization that provides opportunities to those in need. Elaine received a recognition award at the ORT Honoree Gala Event in October 2021 for her years of devotion.
There will be a funeral service at the Schlossberg Chapel – 824 Washington St., Canton, Mass. on Thursday, January 6 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, Mass.
