Adeline (Wilfand) Kachinsky of Canton, formerly of North Easton, passed away on January 5 at the age of 94 after a short illness.
Beloved wife of 43 years of the late Melvin Kachinsky. Loving mother to Leslie and Alan Kaplan. Devoted Grandma to Alyssa and David Abrams. Doting GG to Mason and Ethan Abrams. Daughter of the late Pearl (Berkovich) and Harry Wilfand and sister to the late Sylvia (Wilfand) Wolf.
“Honey” grew up in Dorchester, graduating from Dorchester High School. She was the first member of her family to attend college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Boston University School of Practical Arts and Letters. Honey worked for many years as the Administrative Assistant to the United States Postmaster of Boston.
Upon her retirement, she and Mel spent several winters in Honolulu, Hawaii and later in Boca Raton, Florida. She had lately been living in Brightview Senior Life Independent Living where she enjoyed playing MahJong, jewelry making, and meeting new friends.
Funeral services will be private and there will be no Shiva due to Covid. Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
