Dr. William J. Spitz, (Yaakov) of Norwell, formerly of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on June 14th surrounded by his loving family at the age of 75.

Dr. Spitz was a highly respected dentist in Marshfield Hills for many decades.  He attended Boston College High School, Stonehill College and Georgetown University School of Dentistry.

Billy loved traveling to Aruba, Israel and around the US with his family, summers at Humarock, Harwichport, Nantasket, and playing sports, primarily golf, with his family. His most joyful times were cheering on his children at sporting events. Billy’s biggest accomplishment was his children.

He will be deeply missed.

I just heard the sad news of Dr Spitz’s passing. Dr Spitz took great care of my family for many, many years – particularly my mother. I will always remember the special attention he gave my mother – even designing her dentures with her signature “Hurley split”! I even enjoyed my visits to his office (who can say they enjoy going to the dentist?). There were always a lot of laughs and great stories shared. He was truly a great guy.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.
