Barry Mushlin January 14, 2021

Barry Mushlin, age 78, of Randolph, passed away on January 11, 2021 in his sleep, after recent battles with Guillain-Barré Syndrome and lung cancer.

Beloved husband of Roslyn Mushlin for over 54 years. Father of Jeremy Mushlin and his wife Auria Abraham, and of Andrew Mushlin and his wife Allison Mushlin. Grandfather to Neena Mushlin, Ari Mushlin, and Keira Mushlin. In addition, many close nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be missed by all.

Before retirement, Barry served as Director of Toxicology at Boston University Medical Center and subsequently for the New England region of the Veteran’s Administration hospital system. Post retirement he spent his time enjoying life – visiting and playing with his grandchildren, reading, doing the NYT crossword puzzle, and as an avid political memorabilia enthusiast.

Barry was also known for his cooking and baking, much of which was learned from his mother. There was almost never a family event where he didn’t bring his famous chocolate chip cookies. During Hanukkah, everyone looked forward to his made-from-scratch potato latkes. Luckily he was more than happy to share his techniques with the family.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 14th at Sharon Memorial Park. Shiva will not be observed at this time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Turner Free Library in Randolph, MA.
