Arlene Janice Parker of Charlton, MA, formerly of Rochester, NY, passed away at the age of 80 on Monday, December 12, 2022. Arlene was born in Boston to the late Henry and Ida Postar. She attended Newton High School and Boston University, graduating with degrees in European history and elementary education. Arlene enjoyed her longtime passion for teaching for over 14 years and was loved by her students and colleagues.
Arlene was the beloved wife of George Parker for 59 years, a loving mother to Stephen (Tammi) Parker, Lynn (Marc) Singer & Scott (Elizabeth) Parker, devoted sister of Nancy (Morris) Steinbock, cherished grandmother of Mira, Sammy, Erin, Ethan & Douglas, proud aunt to Dana and Lea.
Graveside services will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:45am at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA. Please meet behind the administration building.
Shiva will be held at the Sheraton Four Points; 1125 Boston Providence Turnpike; Norwood, MA following services.
