Joshua Michael Kita, age 45, of Longmeadow, MA, passed away on May 22, 2026.
He was born on July 28, 1980, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to his devoted parents, Deborah Ellen and Dieter Kita. Joshua attended Westfield State University and graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
He is survived by his father, his brother Daniel Kita, his longtime partner Amanda Desrosiers, and their three children, Brent, age 9, Blake, age 6, and Lily, age 6. He was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah, and his brother Jesse.
Joshua deeply loved his family, his friends, University of Michigan football and basketball, and all the New England sports teams – Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins.
He also loved fishing and was developing a passion for golf before his untimely departure. He will be greatly missed.
A private family service is planned to celebrate and honor Joshua’s too-short life.
