Ruth Gertrude (Zeidman) Greenspan, age 94 of East Bridgewater, previously of Quincy and Randolph, passed away on September 16, 2022. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter to the late Sadie and Joseph Zeidman. She was preceded in death by her husband Abraham Greenspan. She was a graduate of Quincy High School after which she worked as a secretary for the Jewish Community Center in Quincy, and later for the Quincy Public Schools. She was a member of Adas Shalom in Quincy for over 40 years, and was a lifelong member of Hadassah. Ruth was well traveled, and was always keeping up with current events by reading the newspaper daily. She also liked to play Mahjong in her spare time. Above all, her family was her biggest passion. Her grandkids and great-grandchildren kept her busy and she was always very involved with what they had going on in their lives.
Ruth is survived by her children Philip Greenspan and his wife Miriam of Marshfield, Beth Greenspan, and Marcia Dokurno and her husband Leon of East Bridgewater. She is also survived by her grandchildren (Susan Greenspan and her husband David Buffum, Michael Dokurno and his wife Karli and Lori (Dokurno) Watson and her husband Eric as well as 6 great-grandchildren (Mairead and Genevieve Dokurno, Allison, Avery and Everett Watson and Oliver Buffum).
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 11:45AM, at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Please meet at the administrative building. In lieu of flowers donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
