Rosalyn M. Simons

(March 4, 1956- February 5, 2024)

Devoted wife, step mom and grandma-

Rosalyn was born in Boston on March 4, 1956 to parents Samuel and Miriam Glikin. Rozz, as many knew her, was raised in Hull where she graduated high school in 1974. She met the love of her life at just 14 years old. Although they spent some time apart, they reconnected and were married on April 17, 1994 and bought their home in Braintree. Bruce now came as a package deal with 3 children. Rozz absolutely loved and embraced being their stepmom! Her silly laugh and love for toys and games kept everyone busy. They loved to go on family camping trips, watch movies and host cookouts for friends and neighbors.

Rozz was also passionate about her Jewish Religion. Once she settled in Holbrook, she enjoyed being a member of Temple Beth Shalom. She also had fun teaching her kids about Jewish traditions and holidays and donated her time in the office of the local Hebrew school.

She had many other interests such as traveling and cruises to Bermuda with Bruce, quilting and embroidering with her friends and of course, animals!

Rozz spent 20 wonderful years running her own business, Aunty Rozz’s Pet Sitting. Her passion for animals and quirky personality made this her dream job. She enjoyed every day that she got to spend with her clients and beloved pets. No pet was too big or small. She looked after many cats, dogs, hamsters, reptiles and birds.

She lived a beautiful life filled with all of the things that she loved.

Rosalyn is survived by her beloved husband Bruce of Holbrook. Children, Monique and Casey of Kingston, Chris and Kristina of Milton, and Brandi and John of East Bridgewater. Her siblings Rhonda, Dave and Bob. Grandchildren Jack, Miles, Jacob, Davis and one more grandson due in March.

I first met Rozz thru my two cats. It’s been about 25 years ago. She was truly my best friend. I loved her great humor and silly things she would say and do. Truly a beautiful person. Lots of love.
