Rosalyn Lowe October 15, 2019

Rosalyn (Balansky) Lowe of South Yarmouth, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday October 12, 2019 at 79 years of age.

Born in Boston on April 24, 1940, she was the devoted daughter of the late Joseph & Freda (Rostoff) Balansky.  Rosalyn graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and soon married her loving husband, Robert Lowe, and they shared 63 years filled with love and strong support of each other. Their lives together started out very simple but soon they would travel the world together, visiting and living in parts of Europe, Puerto Rico and Ireland. Rosalyn’s family will lovingly remember her as being a truly supportive wife and friend who had a heart of gold.  She was a strong, independent woman who set her mind to reach and obtain many goals.  Rosalyn excelled in so many areas of life such as cooking, decorating homes and hosting many weekly dinner parties over the years. She loved going to the beach, playing golf and was one of the club’s Senior Champions at Blue Rock Country Club.  Her strong organizational and social skills, colorful style and the support she gave to her family and friends, all contributed to her living a “dream come true” life.

In addition to her husband Bob, Mrs. Lowe is survived by her children, Donna McMahon & her husband Gregory of Athol and Gary Lowe & his wife Pamela of Derry, NH.  She is the cherished grandmother of Alexandra, Garison, Grey, Ashley, Christopher and Kayley and the great-grandmother of Talon, Maddix, Ariel, Connor, Jack, Henry and Benjamin.  Mrs. Lowe is also the sister of David Balansky of Stoughton, Gerald Balansky & his wife Anne of Brockton, Sandra Mortell & her husband Lawrence of Brockton and the sister-in-law of Richard Lowe & his wife Janice of Bridgewater.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
