Date of Funeral

April 18, 2024

Roberta Carmusin, formerly of Lawrence and Needham, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with dementia, and entered into rest on April 16, 2024, at the age of 92.

Devoted Daughter of the late Morris Korelitz, and Charlotte (Bloomfield) Korelitz. Beloved Wife of the late Lester Carmusin. Loving mother of Amy Carmusin, and the late Lisa Carmusin. Dear Sister of Joel Korelitz and his wife Karen.

Roberta graduated from Lawrence High School with the Class of 1949.  She was also proud to be a graduate of Brandeis University’s Class of 1953, just their second graduating class.  Roberta taught elementary school in Brockton before marrying the love of her life, Lester.  They married in 1959 and had two daughters, Lisa and Amy.  Later, Roberta brought her organizational skills to roles at Newton Wellesley Hospital’s pathology department and Computer Design & Associates as an administrator.  Always, and even through her stay in the memory care community, Windrose of Woburn, Roberta had a reputation for her attention to the details of her hair, make-up, nails, and outfits before leaving her room each day.

Roberta will be interred in Sharon Memorial Park after a (private) graveside funeral.

Shiva will be held at the Boston Marriott Newton, 2345 Commonwealth Ave., Newton, MA on Thursday, April 18 between 5- 7PM.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in Roberta’s memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd. Waltham MA 02452.
