Phyllis R. Kreitzberg June 20, 2026

Date of Funeral

June 22, 2026

Hallmark lost its best customer on Saturday, June 20, 2026, when Phyllis Kreitzberg, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep after a brief battle with cancer.

Phyllis possessed an uncanny knack for making sure no birthday, anniversary, or special occasion ever went unnoticed. Somehow, her cards always seemed to arrive on the exact day of your celebration. Her thoughtfulness became one of her signatures and a tradition family and friends will always remember.

She found joy in cruising the high seas, square dancing, soaking up the sunshine, and sharing spirited games of Mahjong. More than anything, she enjoyed staying connected to the people she loved.

Phyllis is survived by her sister, Nancy, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were fortunate to be part of her life.

In recent years, she endured the loss of her brother, Marvin, her cousin, Honey, and her beloved husband, Paul. Though she missed them deeply, those who knew and loved her take comfort in imagining a joyful reunion now taking place.

Phyllis will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and the simple but meaningful ways she let people know they were loved and never forgotten.

A funeral will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton on June 22, 2026 at 1:00PM with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.

Donations in Phyllis’ memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704. Hagerstown, MD 21741   or   cancer.org

I extend deepest sympathy to Phyllis’s family. I was her friend since 1963. We were ski buddies, day trips, weekends, a week at Mt Stowe, VT, – and we rented a ski house at Mt. Snow, Vt, winter 67-68. We skied every other weekend and 9 days over Xmas and New Years. We also vacationed at Tarleton Resort in NH 1965. She attended my wedding. Although I moved to NJ, we did visit each other. We talked often and were dear friends, and would get together with our husbands in Florida every year. We last spoke in the middle of June. I am terribly saddened by her death. I will miss Phyllis a lot. May Phyllis’s name be for a blessing.
