Phyllis (Nanes) Cutler of Milton passed away on Tuesday, March 5, she was 95 years old. Phyllis was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Louis & Sadie (Ginsberg) Nanes. She was the loving  mother of Lewis Cutler & his wife Frances of Arlington, Neal Cutler of Natick and Jonathan Cutler & his partner J.R. Dreyer of Brookline and was the cherished grandmother of Samuel Cutler. Phyllis was the dear sister of the late Paul Nanes, Marion Zall, Rose Karp, Silvia Handelman and David Nanes.

Her funeral service will take place at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Friday morning, March 8, 2024, at 9:00AM. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Following the burial, Memorial Observance will be held at the home of Jonathan & J.R. in Brookline until 3:00PM on Friday, continuing Saturday evening 6:00PM – 8:00PM.

In lieu of flowers donations in Phyllis’s memory be made to Osher Life Long Institute (OLLI) McCormack Hall, 3rd floor, Room 003, UMass Boston, 100 Morrisey Boulevard, Boston, MA 02125-3393.

    I remember Phyllis fondly as she always said this to me: Come on over, are you okay?, have a chocolate, coffee?, how are your kids?, come again any time. She was that way since the day she moved to Fuller Village in a unit down the hall from me. I miss her friendship terribly.
