Natasha G. Nese November 25, 1977 - July 4, 2025

Date of Funeral

July 8, 2025

With respect and sadness, we wish to inform you of the passing of Natasha Genia Nese on Friday, July 4, 2025.

Natasha was the daughter of Sharon Singer Salinger (z”l) and Peter Nese (z”l). She leaves behind her daughter and husband – Naomi and Ross Fujita, and her sister and stepfather – Gabrielle and Seth Salinger.

Natasha was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Law and the Massachusetts College of Art. An accomplished attorney and gifted artist, she moved through the world with a rare blend of intellect, empathy, and imagination. A lifelong advocate for justice, truth, beauty, and whimsy; a lover of animals and with a deep reverence for the wisdom and beauty of nature, Natasha had a unique perspective, fierce integrity, and an immense capacity for love and compassion.

Endlessly talented and endlessly creative, Natasha had a spirit that was both grounded and magical. She saw the world differently—and helped others see it too. She was fiercely loving, fiercely loyal, and fiercely loved in return. Her presence lit up rooms, and her absence will be felt in everyone she once graced. She leaves behind a world she made significantly better and more beautiful just by being in it.

Natasha’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 8 at 1PM at Schlossberg Chapel, 824 Washington St, Canton, immediately followed by interment at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.

Shiva will take place at the residence of Seth Salinger starting at 6 PM with Minyan at 7PM. Shiva will continue Wednesday starting at 6PM with Minyan at 7PM.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations, in Natasha’s name to the Massachusetts Audubon Society at:  massaudubon.org

    Ross, Naomi, & family,

Natasha was far too bright, fabulous, creative, determined, and kind-spirited to have deserved such a fate. Without even knowing her, this was evident throughout the services. May her wit live on in each of you, and may her presence always be felt and known.
