Date of Funeral

December 18, 2025

MARSHA (Kasper) RABINOVITZ, a long time Stoughton resident, passed away on Friday morning, December 12th at 86 years of age. Born in Boston, the daughter of Betty (Rosenthal) Kasper, she grew up in Roxbury and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School, class of 1957.

After high school, Marsha graduated from Mansfield Beauty Academy and worked as a hairdresser, specializing in hair coloring. Marsha had to travel to Old Orchard Beach in Maine to meet a fellow Bostonian, Gil Rabinovitz.  It appears they got along as they were married the following year. They settled in Mattapan but soon moved to their own home in Stoughton to accommodate their growing family.

After her children were old enough, Marsha joined the full time work force. She Spent 13 years working at local agencies and businesses serving the local Jewish community. Her last position was as a teacher’s aide, working in a Special Education classroom. Marsha loved the summer when she could indulge in one of her passions, the beach. A passion she shared with her dear friend, Marie. Whether it be local at Houghton’s Pond in Stoughton, or her favorite, the beach in Onset.

Marsha expressed her creative and artistic talents through knitting and crocheting and afghans for all she loved. Always conscious of her appearance, Marsha never missed  her regularly scheduled appointments keeping her hair and nails looking like she had recently been to the salon.

Marsha was the daughter of the late Betty (Rosenthal) Kasper and was the beloved wife of the late Gil Rabinovitz. She is survived by her children, Brian Rabinovitz & his partner Jennifer, Marc Rabinovitz and & his wife Donna, Jodi Armfield & her husband Don, and Eric Rabinovitz & his partner Jessica. Marsha was the cherished grandmother of Mathew, Joshua and  Jennifer, Alexis and Kayla, and was the great-grandmother of Shelby.  She was the sister of Sharen Kaufman.

Marsha’s funeral service will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Thursday December 18th at 10:30AM. Interment to follow at the Lord Rothschild Cemetery, 776 Baker Street, West Roxbury.
