The Zeman family announces the loss Marjorie P. Zeman
We are saddened to announce the loss of our beloved mother, Marjorie Pomeranz Zeman, born May 5, 1933, passed on February 22, 2024.
Marjorie created a warm and loving home, which was the center of activity for her extended family and friends. We will miss her generous and nurturing spirit, her mischievous sense of humor and easy laugh, and her wonderful old-world cooking and baked treats.
She is predeceased by her husband, Capt. Irving M. Zeman, USN; parents, Julius and Esther (Seltzer) Pomeranz; and her siblings Lillian (Morris) Levin, Beatrice (Philip) Matthews, Norman (Frances) Pomeranz, Anne (Sherman) Strauss, and David (Philip Knight) Zeman. She is survived by her children, Paul Zeman and his husband Ryan Chavez, and Ellen Zeman and her husband Paul Hale, as well as adored granddaughter Sophie Zeman-Hale and her beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sharon Memorial Park. There will be a brief graveside service on Monday, February 26 at 10:45AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vermont Family Network, Cure CMD or Temple Sinai of Sharon.
