Kenneth B. Baker of Stoughton, formerly of Sharon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at 79 years of age.

Devoted son of Laurie Baker and Sadie (Gompers) Baker.

Beloved husband, high school sweetheart and best friend of Sharyn Baker.

Loving father of Neil Baker, Kim Thornton and her husband Dean, and Shelley Rowan, all of Stoughton.

Ken spent some of his childhood in Maine before moving to Sharon, where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his life, his wife Sharyn. There were married for over 57 years and had a wonderful life together. They created many beautiful memories taking trips across the country.

Ken was a very talented machinist. He was fortunate to be able to retire early and had no trouble keeping himself very busy. He loved going to all his grandkids sports games and school activities. He always worked on projects around his house and helped others with theirs.

Ken was a proud Air Force veteran that enjoyed speaking with people when they thanked him for his service after seeing his Tactical Air Command hat that he wore with pride.

Ken loved playing volleyball, especially when his daughter and grandkids came to play. He also enjoyed golf with his son and friends and his Sunday tennis games.

Ken’s funeral service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, March 1st at Schlossberg’s Family Chapel on the Hill 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.

Memorial observance at the Baker home in Stoughton following the burial and later that day 4-8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
