Kathleen Marber March 26, 2023

Date of Funeral

April 2, 2023

Kathleen Marber of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Stoughton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023 at the age of 99.

Devoted daughter of the late Morris & Ida (Sweet) Wishnevsky. Beloved wife of the late Alexander Marber. Loving mother of Scott Marber and his partner Elizabeth Simon of Seattle, Washington and the late Wendy Marber and her husband Charles Roussel of Sharon Massachusetts. Cherished grandmother of Maxwell Marber, Alexander Marber and his wife Amelia Marber, Shelby Marber and Jacqueline Marber all of Seattle, Washington.

Kathleen, always known as Kitty, grew up during the early part of the last century in a wonderful home with her older sister June and younger brother Aaron.  There were always relatives and friends coming in and out for holidays and weekly dinners.  As Kitty grew older, she loved music and went to see her favorites Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman, and all the big bands of the time.  Later she met many of her celebrity friends in Las Vegas (she loved those slot machines) including Eydie Gorme, Lucille Ball and Milton Berle.

As she was bringing up her children Kitty also spent time modeling, working in nursery schools, and volunteering at children’s hospitals. Children were her favorite thing of all. As she grew older, she saw more and more of the world as her children which only made her love grow larger.

Kitty moved to Seattle in 2020 to be near her family. She died surrounded by all her loved ones.  Her last meal was a hot fudge sundae, and her last words were, “I love you.”
