Jonathan P. Kaplan December 8, 2019

On Saturday, December 2, 2019, Jonathan P. Kaplan ofLos Angeles, CA, formerly of Chicago, IL and Easton, MA, passed away at the age of 29. Jonathan was born on March 17, 1990 in Brockton, MA to Cindy L. Kaplan (Kestenberg) and Martin A. Kaplan. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire. He was an Assistant Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and holder of various prestigious professional licenses. In his personal life, Jonathan was an avid collector of unique treasures, including his pampered fish in their elaborate tank, rare coins, and even rarer Air Jordan sneakers. Finally, he was a sharp dresser who had a knack for surprising people in special ways and making them laugh. Jonathan was a loyal and dear friend to all who loved his friends and family, and most of all, his brother. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Cindy and Marty, as well as his brother, Benjamin Kaplan, his grandmother, Sandra Kestenberg, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Kestenberg, and his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Ruth Kaplan.

Service at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Sunday, December 08, 2019 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon. Memorial Observance at the home of Martin A. Kaplan, Sunday 5-8 pm and Monday 4-7 pm. Continuing at the home of Cindy L. Kaplan (Kestenberg) on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings,  4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
