Harris Jordan November 12, 1948 - October 5, 2022

Date of Funeral

October 9, 2022

Harris Jordan, age 73, entered into eternal rest on the most sacred of days, Yom Kippur, October 5, 2022.  Harris was born on November 12, 1948 in Boston to Rosalyn and Leo Jordan.  He was high school sweetheart and cherished husband to his bashert, Roni (Bloom) for 50 years, beloved and adoring father of Isaac David Jordan of Quincy, and human daddy to his sweet miniature schnauzer Apollo.  Harris is also survived by his sister Ilene Kramer of Stoughton, one niece, four nephews, many cousins and legions of friends both lifelong and new.

A graduate of Brookline High School, UMass Boston and New England School of Law, Harris was a gregarious and entertaining personality both in personal and professional life.  He was a caring and diligent advocate for his clients, giving his all in both private practice and court-appointed work for the indigent.

Much loved by so many, he will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

Memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 2:00PM at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton, MA.

Family will welcome visitors at his late residence on Sunday, following the service until 9:00PM and on Monday, from 6:00-9:00PM.

Donations in honor of Harris may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through their website at dana-farber.org or to the Scituate Animal Shelter at scituateanimalshelter.org.

Harris was a loving family man and a dedicated professional. I knew him from just about the same time that Roni did. May he rest in peace.

Harris was a dear friend. He was brilliant with an irreverent wit and a kind and caring heart. I miss a ll our talks and hearing all about his politics his dogs
his legal life , and his life of love. With his beloved Roni at his side he fought bravely to live. We were high school classmates and it was a joy to see his success in life . I think of him and know that he is at peace now. But now there is an emptiness in my heart for the life and caring and humor he brought to my life for so long.Rest in peace, dear friend Harris. And strength and love and peace to Roni and Isaac.

Sad to hear of Atty. Jordan’s passing. He surely will be missed. I worked with him for many years at Dorchester Court. He was a warrior for his clients and a good person. He treated his clients with respect disregarding their status in life. I will never forget our many conversations and the time we spent together. My condolence to the family and friends.

We are sorry to hear about Mr. Jordan’s passing. He was a wonderful man and patient. We enjoyed taking care of him and we were grateful he chose us to provide care for him. We hope you all have found comfort in the final days and we’ll never be farther away than a phone call.
