Date of Funeral

February 15, 2026

Frances S. Beder of Randolph, MA, formerly of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on February 12, 2026 at the age of 100 years. She was the cherished wife of the late Alex Beder.

Frances and Alex were inseparable and known as a single unit, not individually. They were seen to be an incredible couple and did everything and went everywhere together, except maybe the golf course. She was a bookkeeper in the field of women’s apparel for over forty years and thoroughly enjoyed what she did.

Frances had many hobbies and interests where she met many life-long friends and acquaintances. She and Alex were very sociable, going dancing, to Nantasket beach, the pool, or playing various games. Frances was an avid Mahjong player and played Canasta and Bridge whenever she had the chance. They would play cards together and separately when times called for it.

Frances was well loved by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving daughters Janis “Jan” and her husband Marvin Kahn, Joanne “Joni” Beder Sklar, her darling grandchildren Rachel (Matthew) Abraham, Debra Kahn, and Robbie (Andriana) Sklar. She is also survived by her treasured great-grandkids Sophie, Eli, Noah, and Aiden as well as numerous adored nieces and nephews.

She was  the beloved sister and sister-in-law to twenty sisters and brothers. The family was not seen as in-laws but as a whole.

There will be a graveside funeral and burial service at the Kehillath Jacob Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury on Sunday, February 15th at 12:30PM. Shiva will be private.
