Elliott Greene January 25, 2023

Elliott “Doc” Greene of Randolph, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25^th at 93 years of age. Devoted son of the late Nathan and Sadie (Singer) Greene. Beloved husband of Rhoda L (Gateman) Greene. Loving father of Joel Greene and his wife Merrie of Boca Raton, Florida. Cherished grandfather of Shane Greene and his wife Rachel of Plantation, Florida. Dear brother of the late Phyllis Fritz and late brother-in-law Donald of New Jersey. Uncle to Beth Fritz-Logrea and Joni Fritz. Elliott grew up in Roxbury, MA. where he developed a love for sports playing football and basketball. He became a lifelong Boston die hard sports fan for Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. He graduated from Northeastern University where he received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. He later went on to further his education by earning his masters at M.I.T. Elliott also served in the Naval Reserves. GTE/Sylvania was his place of employment where he was an exemplary employee for more than 40 years. He enjoyed a very prestigious career. He truly loved his job and was an exceptional boss as he was liked and well respected. After retiring from GTE/Sylvania Elliott and his wife Rhoda enjoyed their lives traveling to many destinations both in the USA and abroad. Some happy moments for him would be a Saturday night hot date with his wife having dinner and going dancing afterwards. He also enjoyed his family life, but nothing could compare to becoming a grandfather to his only grandchild Shane. He will be missed immensely by all those who loved him.

Funeral Services at Schlossberg’s Family Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton on Friday, January 27^th at 11AM with interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will be observed at Elliott’s late residence in Randolph following the burial on Friday, continuing Saturday 6-8PM and Sunday Noon-5PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Elliott’s memory may be donated to Hope Hospice thru Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 75 Francis Street, Boston, MA 02115 ~ hopehealthco.org
