David Pessin, 82, of South Yarmouth, MA passed away after a brief illness with family by his side on August 19, 2025. David was born on June 22, 1943 to parents Anne and Leo. He graduated from Boston English High School in 1961 and attended Mass Bay Community College.
He was married on September 13, 1964 to Jean Cohen. They raised two children, Cheri and Bob. David worked for several retail businesses as a toy and sporting goods buyer, a sales rep for pools and spas and for the last 30 years had a business at the Raynham Flea Market.
David was an avid Boston sports fan. He loved the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and Bruins. He loved spending time with his family and celebrating holidays together. He was very proud of his grandchildren and was devoted to his family.
David is survived by his wife Jean, son Bob and his wife Jen, daughter Cheri and her husband Randy and grandchildren, Kayla (husband Nick) and Jacob (wife Charis). He was the brother of the late Gerrald Pessin and his wife Sheila.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 11:00am at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton, MA 02021. Interment to follow at Pride of Brockton Cemetery, Stoughton, MA. Shiva will be held from 3:00-7:30PM at the home of Cheri and Randy Carlson in Lakeville.
