Barry Mitchell Glassman April 6, 1944 - August 20, 2022

Barry Mitchell Glassman of Norwood, MA, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 78. Born in Boston on April 6, 1944, he was the son of the late Samuel & Shirley (Riskin) Glassman. Barry grew up in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School and then the Massachusetts Trade Shop School as a mechanical draftsman. Barry held various jobs throughout his life and worked as a senior drafter and designer for Stone and Webster Engineering, maintenance for the Medfield Public Schools, and maintenance mechanic for Pinebrook Golf Course and Newton Commonwealth Golf Course. Barry was also very proud to have served in the Coast Guard Reserves and as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Town of Medfield. In his spare time Barry enjoyed operating his amateur radio. Barry was the beloved husband of Jerilyn (Kaplan) Glassman. Loving brother of the late Sandra Fay Glassman. Devoted brother-in-law of Alan Kaplan and his wife Leslie of Sharon. Cherished uncle of Alyssa and David Abrams of Norwood and great-uncle of Mason Abrams of Norwood and Ethan Abrams of North Carolina.  Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 10:45AM at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon.
