Roslyn Mushlin April 9, 2022

Date of Funeral

April 14, 2022

Roslyn Mushlin (1943-2022) of Randolph, MA, died on April 9, 2022 at her new home, Whitney Place at Sharon.

She was predeceased in 2021 by her husband of 55 years, Barry Mushlin. Roslyn was the beloved mother of Jeremy Mushlin and his wife Auria Abraham, and of Andrew Mushlin and his wife Allison, and grandmother to Neena, Ari, and Keira. Dear Sister of Evelyn Salz and the late Marlene Chamrin. They will all greatly feel her loss.

Early in her career as a medical secretary, Roslyn worked for many years at Boston University Medical School. Later she worked in the Randolph Public schools both in the high school library and in the elementary schools as a librarian. Roslyn loved reading to the children and showing carefully selected videos to them. It was a pleasure for her through the years to run into her former students who still lived and worked in the town.

After her retirement, Roslyn enjoyed meeting up with friends and playing Scrabble with them. She was a fierce competitor enforcing the rules strictly. An avid reader, word games were her passion. Roslyn was very proud of her children and especially her grandchildren. She would brag about their accomplishments to anyone within earshot.

Her funeral service will be held at 10am, Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Shiva will be held at the Mushlin family home in Randolph on Thursday immediately following the burial, Friday between 1 and 5 pm, and on Sunday between 1 and 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Turner Free Library, 2 North Main St., Randolph, MA. 02368 (turnerfreelibrary.org)

    Andrew and Jeremy,
So sorry for the loss of both your mother and father. I was unaware of both of their deaths till it was too late to pay my respects. Your mother and I were friendly when you were young Andrew. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
