Susan Aron of Newton, passed away suddenly, entered into rest on December 03, 2024 at 68 years of age. Susan was the devoted daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Azanow) Aron. She was the dear sister of Lois Berkson and her husband Tom of Florida, Dr. Joan Aron of Maryland and Dr. Richard Aron and his wife Beverly of Newton. Cherished aunt to Sarah Kass, Rachel Fruman, Judith Berkson, Avram Berkson, and Rachel Linder. Susan was also a great aunt to Adam, Saul Sigmund, Tovi, Ben, Hannah, Mira, and Ruben.
Susan graduated from Newton South High School and Boston University’s School of Fine Arts. She was a professionally trained artist. Susan also worked for many years at Cahners Publishers and then at the Jewish Advocate.
Susan had a heart of gold, as she dedicated herself to caring for our mother who suffered an accident which resulted in being placed in a nursing home. Susan visited her every single day for 5 months for several hours a day until our mother passed away.
Susan filled her time exercising by biking, walking, and jogging. She also joined an arts program in Newton which she really enjoyed. Art was her passion. She really wanted to do more art at this stage of her life. Unfortunately, her life was cut short.
Susan’s funeral service will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, December 10th at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Expressions of sympathy in Susan’s memory may be donated to a charitable organization of your choosing.
