Date of Funeral

June 12, 2025

Roberta (Bobbi) Jane Wasserman of West Roxbury, Massachusetts passed away in Hospice care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a short illness she was 82.

She was the daughter of the late Bernard Swartz and Norma (Cooper) Swartz both of Boston. She is survived by her sister Diane (Swartz) Internicola and her late husband Anthony Internicola and late niece Nikki Internicola. Her son Brad Wasserman and his wife Lori (Ostiguy) Wasserman, and her beloved grandsons Matthew and Michael Wasserman all of Attleboro. She is also survived by her many friends and colleagues who enjoyed her friendship and comradery.

Roberta was a dedicated state employee who worked for over 30 years for the state. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Bunker Hill Community College while continuing to groom her skills within the state and rose to the position of Office Manager, Legal Assistant in the Legal Office of the Unemployment Division for the State of Massachusetts.

One of her greatest attributes in any job that she held was her work ethic and her compassion to help others. She was passionate about the clients of the Unemployment Department and navigating the best ways to get them the help that they needed.

She was a veracious reader whether fiction, non-fiction or politics and current events. In her latter years she loved to crochet, especially hats, scarves, and blankets for all her family and friends.

One of the greatest joys of Bobbi’s life was when she became a grandmother. When her grandson couldn’t pronounce Bubbe, she became a proud “Boo Boo” for life. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether on visits together or talking on the phone and discussing her other passion, basketball as she enjoyed watching the Celtics with them. She was a big fan of Payton Pritchard.

A Memorial Service will be held June 12, 2PM at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill,  824 Washington Street, Canton MA, immediately followed by a celebration of her life at Morin’s Restaurant, 16 South Main, Attleboro MA.

My beautiful friend. Although we always knew each other as neighbors, it wasn’t until a very short time ago that we became dear friends. In a short time, I learned what a beautiful compassionate and loving person you were. I miss you dearly, talk to you often and my only wish is that we had more time.
    Blessed Be my Beautiful Sister
