Richard Allan Brown of Yarmouth, formerly of Boston, passed away after a long illness on August 6th, 2023, at 82 years of age. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Max and Rose (Castle) Brown. Richard graduated from Boston English High School and
Burdette College. He had a successful career in Real Estate Sales as the owner of D&B Realty in West Yarmouth. Dickie, as Richard was known to his friends, was an exceptional human being. He
was generous, caring and unilaterally loved people. He extended his home to many in need, offered unconditional love and went out of his way to help others. He loved the Cape, was proud of his Boston roots, was passionate about all local sports teams and country music. An active member of the Yarmouth community and local government, he enjoyed meeting people and working together to solve any issues in the community. He will be missed by a wide circle of friends, neighbors, and his
extended family that loved him from Swampscott, MA, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, California, and Florida.
A graveside funeral service will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street on Thursday, August 10th at 10:45 am.
A celebration of Dickie’s life is being planned. More information will follow, at a later date. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
