Judith Berger Kublin (King) of Ashland, formerly of Sharon and Delray Beach, FL passed away peacefully on February 1, 2023 at the age of 92. She leaves her beloved husband Irving. Loving mother of Leenie Glickman, Harriet and David Portman, the late Marilyn Harwin, William Harwin, Larry Berger and Alison Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Sidney, Eliot, Avery, Josh and Dani, Phil, Danny and Mo, Krissy and Melinda, Jeff and Ellen, Pete and Morgan, Todd and Stephanie. Devoted great grandmother to Elle, Julian, Keira, Dylan, Emily, Kate, Meredith, Grayson, Landon, Taylor, Mason, Clay and Ian. Dear sister of Naomi King and the late Connie Lippa.
Judy was a well-respected elementary school teacher at the Cottage Street School in Sharon until her retirement in 1994. Judy was married to her loving husband Phil Berger for 36 years. While saying daily prayers of mourning, she met her second husband Saul Rubin. The marriage was tragically cut short after 3 years. At the age of 70, she married for the third time to longtime family friend Irving Kublin and they enjoyed 22 wonderful years together.
She was active in her synagogue. She was known for knitting afghans for family and baby sweaters for charity, donating the money to B’nai B’rith and then to Pan-Mass Challenge. Judy loved to celebrate happy occasions with family and friends. She was the matriarch of her family and she will be missed by all who love her.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday Feb 3, 2023 at noon at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021. Interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park followed by Shiva at the home of her niece Debbie and her husband Mark Levine, Stoughton. Shiva will continue on Sunday, Feb 6 from 12-7pm at the home of Harriet and David Portman, Stoneham. Shiva will continue at the home of Leenie Glickman, Ashland on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 6-830pm, with a minyan at 7pm. Daily Shiva Mon and Tues, will be from 2-4pm at the home of Irving Kublin, Ashland, MA 01721.
