Ira W. Morris of Framingham, born in Brooklyn, NY, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
He entered into rest on April 23, 2025 at the age of 91. Devoted son of Harry and Rose Morris. Beloved husband of Mildred Morris. Loving father of Brandie Erb and her husband Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Samuel Erb and his wife Lindsey Patterson, and Hannah Erb and her partner Garrison Copley.
Ira grew up in New Jersey and graduated from college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Ira started with Bell Laboratories, working at various locations, and came to Digital Equipment Corporation in Massachusetts as one of their original employees, where he held several design patents. He is a past President of Temple Beth Am in Framingham. Ira loved football and watching sports. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and loving husband. He will be truly missed.
His funeral service will be held at 11AM, Monday, April 28th , 2025, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
