Gloria E. (DelGaudio) Prince of Newton, passed away peacefully, on October 16, 2024, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Allen J. Prince. Devoted daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella (Mattarazzo) DelGaudio. Dear sister of the late Netta Inzirillo, Lucy Lauria, Mafalda Risti, Dolores DiNush, and brother Samuel DelGaudio.
The cherished aunt of Gail Young (husband Kevin), Camille Connors (late husband Joseph), James Lauria (wife Eileen), Joni Hess (husband John) and Amy Nunez (husband John). Gloria is also survived by multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many extended close family and friends.
Gloria was raised in East Boston, graduated from East Boston High School, and earned her certificate as an X-ray technician from Northeastern University. She began her career at Boston City Hospital (Boston Medical Center), starting as an X-ray technician and retiring from a Supervisory position after 40 years. Upon retirement she volunteered at the Newton Wellesley Hospital Gift Shop and the Newton Senior Center.
Gloria was married for over 54 years to the love of her life, Allen. They made many happy memories together travelling the world, spending time at their residence in Falmouthport, and celebrating holidays with family and friends.
The family is truly grateful for the attentive services provided by Artis Senior Living of Reading and All Care Hospice.
Gloria’s funeral service will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, with the interment to follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
