Gary Woolf of Stoughton passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2024, he was 66 years old. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Earl & Rose (Pintchuck) Woolf. Raised in Sharon, Massachusetts, Gary loved ice skating, soccer, sailing, riding his motorcycle and fishing as a young man. He attended Northeastern University where he played soccer and majored in business, earning a BA degree in that discipline. Gary met Maria while working for the family business, and they dated for 6 years before getting married. They settled in Stoughton where, as loving parents, they raised their children, Carissa and Alec. Gary loved being a father. He present for every game, performance, milestone and important moment in his kids’ lives. Gary was the steady force of the family and could be counted on to help everyone no matter the request. Gary was the beloved husband of Maria (Argudin) Woolf, the loving father of Carissa Woolf-Makeover & her husband Daniel and Alec Woolf, and the dear brother of Janice Woolf and the late Lisa Woolf.
As an adult, Gary loved working on his 1990 Red Corvette, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, spending time with his family and the family dogs, Rusty and Daisy, doing home-repair projects, and going to Boston sports games with his close childhood friends and kids. He also loved The Beatles and has seen Paul McCartney in concert at least 5 times as well as countless other 60’s and 70’s bands. You could often find him in the garage, under one of the family’s cars or out in the yard, working on the garden or the lawn.
Gary lived a very full life, and among other things already mentioned, enjoyed going to the beach in Narragansett, RI, (the family vacation town) or down the Cape, barbecuing for his family every summer, and taking the occasional trip, most recently to Washington with his daughter. He was strong, kind, and gentle, and will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. .His funeral service will be held at Schlossberg Family’s Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street, Canton on Sunday, December 22nd at 12:Noon. The burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon., Shiva is private.
