It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell and announce the passing of Diana Karlin on June 29th, 2024 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She fought bravely like she uniquely lived her life on her own terms. Rejecting Western medicine at times, Diana chose her own path using a holistic approach and embracing alternative natural methods for healing. Although soft-spoken, she was strong-willed and usually got her way. Even when met with opposition, Diana knew what she wanted in life, and she never let anything stop her from achieving her goals.
Although she was born on September 5, 1949, in Jersey, Diana was always a California girl at heart. A woman of distinction and class, she had an eye for fashion and always put her best face forward. Her individual style always made a lasting impression on those who met her.
Diana was blessed in finding the great love of her life, Rob Karlin, with whom she shared a life for over 35 years and nearly 20 of those years in marriage. They cared for each other deeply and worked together professionally, side by side, building Rob’s funeral business, from the ground up, to the height of its success. Needless to say, they possessed the ability to make a great team.
Diana’s greatest contribution in life was her deep love of animals. More specifically was the adoration and devotion she shared for her babies, Little Boy, and Big Boy. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for those dogs, as she provided them with a dream life that would have made any animal envious.
Now, we can all find comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited with all those she loved most, in heaven.
