Barbara (Teperow) Mosias (97) was a loving family matriarch, devoted to her three sons Alan (Suzanne), Marty (Tami), and Bob (Sue), her 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Sidney Teperow, who was her “childhood sweetheart” and died at age 43, and second husband Albert Mosias, with whom she enjoyed over 50 years of marriage until his death in 2022.
Barbara loved singing and dancing from a very young age, continuing with lessons and performances into her teenage years. Her love of dance was evident at every family simcha, as well as in many a dance hall with her husband Al where she was often glamorously “dressed to the nines”. At the Hebrew Senior Life facilities in Roslindale, and later at Newbridge on the Charles, she loved weekly sing-a-longs where, although wheelchair bound, her feet would move to the music and her sweet voice sang in harmony with her son, Alan, and Newbridge’s wonderful song leaders.
Most prominently, Barbara’s life was devoted to her large and adoring family, and “My Three Sons” as she lovingly called her boys, invoking the TV series of the same name. She particularly loved making her adult grandchildren laugh with her silly (some would say inappropriate) sense of humor. When she was younger, there was nothing she loved more than family gatherings at Alan’s home to celebrate Shabbat and the Jewish holidays, Thanksgiving, birthdays, and anniversaries. Her room at the nursing home had close to 150 photos of her own parents, grandparents, and other family members as well as those of her beautiful, sweet, “smaaht”, amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara will be sorely missed by the many family members, residents and staff of the Newbridge community, former neighbors, and friends for whom she has always been a loving and memorable presence.

Internment at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA.
