Mrs. Anne Marilyn Liberman (Kana), of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2020, at the age of 79.
Anne was born to parents Mark and Ida Kana on April 4, 1941, in Boston, MA. She grew up as the youngest of four children. Anne graduated from Somerville High School in 1959. In 1962, she married her beloved husband Sheldon Liberman and had two children.
Anne worked as a secretary at New Hope of Attleboro, MA and at the Elections Department for the town of North Attleboro, MA until her retirement. Anne was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and creating custom jewelry for many years.
Anne is survived by her husband, Sheldon Liberman of Attleboro, MA; her daughter, Donna Grim of Eastham, MA; her son, Steven Liberman of Dedham, MA; her sister, Elinor Pinkofsky of Stoughton, MA, and her brother, Jason Kana of Coral Springs, FL; two grandchildren Joshua MacDonald and his wife Hailey of Ipswich, MA, and Dana Grim of Chatham, MA; and one great-grandchild Samara MacDonald of Ipswich, MA. She is preceded in death by her twin brother, Sidney Kana and her parents, Mark and Ida Kana.
Anne will be interred at American Friendship Cemetery West Roxbury, MA after a private graveside funeral. In place of an in-person Shiva, condolence phone calls would be appreciated. A public celebration and unveiling service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made in Anne’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association.
